Lx2

T4CD2Pubbable

AuthorLx2, or Lunatic. The original cave madness difficulty.

Chart editorThis difficulty is the one that started the current trend of "cave madness". It was born as a CD1 diff that was later ported to CD2 by the author, and then a CD2-only Remastered version (see below) was made. As for the gameplay, it is a swingy difficulty with some pretty nasty spawns: waves of jellies, shredders, septics and stingtails are a common occurence, and breach cutter + PP is usually needed to survive. If you have played more recent diffs, Lx2 will feel a bit outdated and the current recommendation is to play ND instead.

Enemy packs

No enemy packs needed Uses vanilla enemies only.

About tier T4

Introduction to cave madness. This tier is similar to the previous one but the difficulty picks up following the theme of faster waves, the introduction of new modded enemies and possibly higher scalings (ie. Hazard 7 resistances and damage). The pacing starts to be quite important and almost all difficulties listed here contain wavespawners, higher nitra costs and other tricks to force it.
